Description:

During Introduction to Performance Management – Managerial and Supervisory Skills, you will be introduced to the ten steps of Performance Management. This approach will review the People-Oriented Performance System (POPS)© which stresses a coaching leadership mindset. A people-oriented style that focuses on interpersonal relationships within organizations, attempting to improve these relationships, fully develop team members in order to increase productivity and create a positive work environment. Since this is a workshop, we will spend a considerable part of the class discussing how to be people focused and developing your team members.

As previous discussed in earlier courses, it has been designed and developed to inspire leaders to utilize the positive leadership philosophy that I have developed in actual working situations and utilized in training over 3,000 managers and supervisors:

Creating and maintaining a positive and effective workplace based on trust and
positive working relationships
where team members are self-motivated to do their work and to excel

Objective:  At the completion of this session, you will be able to:

  • State your role in achieving and maintaining excellence
  • Explain leadership and ten steps of performance management. (Please review Performance Management system graphic below.)
  • State delegation steps
  • State coaching concepts to enhance performance and career development
  • Leaders developing a “coaching mindset”
