Description:

Developing Leader, Managers and Staff will provide knowledge and skills needed to assess, train and develop leaders, managers and staff utilizing a competency-based development approach. It is designed to enhance the people development capabilities of organizations. We will discuss the techniques used to develop management and staff. The target audience is mangers, leaders and staff who develop others. It is not designed as a how to develop leadership development program.

Objective:  At the completion of this session, you will be able to:

  • Explain how people learn
  • Utilize the 70-20-10 development model
  • Explain the key components of learning, training and development
  • State eight phases to developing managers and staff
  • Explain key concepts of a competency-based career- development approach and using Leadership Architecture© Korn Ferry
  • Explain different training approaches for managers and staff and operations personnel
  • Determine job competencies using Leadership Architecture© Korn Ferry
  • Explain the gap analysis process between job requirements and incumbent competencies
  • Discuss and utilize Development Needs Assessment Worksheets
  • Having a development discussion and coaching for development
