DPR 103 Techniques for Developing and Maintaining Positive Relationships and Workplaces Utilizing Interpersonal Skills, Self-Awareness (DISC) and Emotional Intelligence

Description:
During Techniques for Developing and Maintaining Positive Relationships and Workplaces Utilizing Interpersonal Skills, Self-Awareness (DISC) and Emotional Intelligence, you will gain a much better understanding of yourself and others and how to create and maintain positive relationships in your personal and professional lives. You will learn valuable techniques for developing and maintaining positive relationships. The course consists of three parts, all designed to maximize your relationship building skills. First, every interaction is important, interpersonal skills and we will utilize DISC, a personal behavior assessment tool used to improve teamwork, communication and work productivity and Emotional Intelligence. The second part of the class is based on Emotional Intelligence, which provides knowledge and skills to increase your self-awareness, self-management, and social-awareness and relationship management. An Emotional Intelligence Assessment Survey is available for an extra charge. The third part introduces tools to reduce stress, such as using Mindfulness-Based Stress-Reduction Techniques.
Objectives: At the completion of this session, you will be able to:
- Develop a better understanding of yourself and others
- Recognize the characteristic traits of each behavioral style
- Identify your own behavioral style, as well as others, and how they impact relationships
- Become more adaptable
- Learn how to “read” co-workers, managers and customers. You will gain the ability to understand your co-workers, managers and customers and enhance how you relate to them.
- Explain five types of non-verbal communication
- State and utilize five Emotional Intelligence skills
- Develop enhanced personal and professional interactions
- Utilize stress-reduction techniques such as Mindfulness
